first, I just want to say that I love and miss you and your family. Seeing you guys in Dec. was great, but too short and only made me sad that we don't get to hang out like the old days. I read a fascinating posthumously published interview with Normal Mailer the other day. (Dec. 2007 issue of...dread...Playboy) Apparantly towards the end of his life he rejected atheism in exchange for some type of not well-defined belief in God, the devil, and an afterlife. I didn't buy a lot of his ideas, but found them thought-provoking. He still had no use for fundamentalism and mindless obedience to church authority and scripture. I'll try to make you a copy.

Congratulations on your marathon finish. It is quite an accomplishment to run that far so fast.
Thanks again. I plan on doing it again in February.
